Our fabulously offbeat Ladakh take you to the brink of Sham valley, which is located 3 hrs from the capital Leh. This is also home to two endangered species - Ibex and Snow leopard. This region is also known as Apricot country because of the abundance of the fruit grown here. We have chosen stays that get you the best views of the multicolored mountains and flowing Indus in some places. Enjoy local Ladakhi culture and soak up stunning views on this one.

Itinerary
Day By Day
This is lower altitude than Leh and helps acclimatise better. Also, Narla is next to the Indus and makes for a very peaceful first day of doing nothing. The property is surrounded by apricot trees. Make sure you indulge in a few.
Alchi is one of the oldest monasteries in Ladakh and is very pretty and quaint. Lunch here at the traditional Alchi Kitchen before moving on to Likir. Back in Narla for overnight stay.
The mountainous region of Uley is home to snow leopard and Ibex two gorgeous animals of Ladakh. The stay here is in a comfortable Lodge the views from the dining are stupendous. Look forward to day walks and afternoon by the river.
Uley for walks and for those interested we can arrange for a spotter to go wildlife spotting. Overnight in Uley.
Visit the Shey palace and saunter through the Leh market. There are some great places to eat here. Overnight at Leh.
Day 6 - Drive to Nubra via the highest motorable pass Khardung La. Enjoy the view from above and drive onwards to Dikshit in Nubra valley. There is plenty to do from here besides the Dikshit monastery. Evening at the Hunder sand dunes and marvel at the bizarre contrast to snow capped mountains. Overnight at Hunder or Dikshit. Day 7 -Day to Turtuk village which sits at the border of Baltistan and inhabited by the Baltis. It’s a picturesque setting next to the Shyok river. Overnight at Turtuk. Day 8 - Drive back to Leh. Overnight at Leh. Day 9: End of trip
