• Trek to Dayara Bugyal (3300 – 3700 m), Garhwal, Uttarakhand

    DAY 01: Dehradun – Uttarkashi – Barsu Drive 190 km/ 6-7 hrs

    The drive from Dehradun to Uttarkashi is a beautiful one passing through village markets, along the river Bhagirathi to reach the town of Uttarkashi. From here it’s another hours’ drive to the village of Barsu. On arrival we check into the guesthouse / lodge, relax and take a short hike. Overnight in the guesthouse/lodge.

    datyara-02DAY 02: Barsu – Dayara Bugyal (3300 m) Trek /5-6 hrs

    After a sumptuous breakfast start climbing above the village of Barsu towards Dayara bugyal. The trek passes through beautiful forests of Oak and Rhododendron to reach the meadows at Barnala. It’s a steep climb from Barnala meadows to reach Dayara. The panoramic view of the Himalayas from here is breathtaking to say the least. Situated at an elevation of about 10,000 feet above¬†sea-level, this vast meadow is second to none in natural beauty. During winter it provides excellent ski slopes over an area of 28 sq. kms. Overnight stay in tents.

    DAY 03: Dayara Bugyal – Exploration Bakriya Top (3700 m) – Dayara Meadows Trek /5-6 hrs

    On this day we will ascend towards Bakriya Top. This is the highest point of this meadow. Bakriya top lies at the edge of this beautiful meadow and is the vantage point offering exiting views of the Himalayas with undulating meadows towards the north and excellent views of the underlying valleys towards the south. From the camp at dayara we continue to ascend on the carpeted meadows to reach Bakriya top. We spend some time here and later we descend back to our camp. Overnight in the tents.

    DAY 04: Dayra Bugyal – Surya top 4100mtr

    Climb up Surya top for magnificent views of the Bander poonch peak and Gangotri.

    DAY 05: Dayara Bugyal – Barsu – Uttarkashi – Dehradun Trek 3-4 hrs & Drive 190 kms/ 6-7 hrs

    After breakfast we descend down to Barsu village. From here we board the awaiting vehicles and start driving towards Dehradun.

    • 2 guides for the group of maximum 12 trekkers so 1 guide for 6 group members. This will ensure high safety and more information and personal attention which are necessary to appreciate a trek. All our guides are professionally trained and have many years of relevant experience in guiding treks.
    • Accommodation in basic clean rooms in a hotel in Barsu on double occupancy
    • High quality Camping arrangements
    • We believe that roughing it out necessarily doesn’t mean sleeping in smelly sleeping bags, compromising on safety by using low quality equipment and having unappetising meals. We focus on your safety, basic comforts and the environment while camping. Keeping this is mind, the following equipment is provided on the trek:
      • 3/4 season imported alpine tents
      • Fresh and clean sleeping bags of very good quality
      • Good quality Camping Mattresses
      • Camping stools
      • Mess Tent
      • Toilet tents (2) with portable toilet seats
      • First Aid / Medical kit.
    • All meals starting from dinner on Day 1 till lunch on Day 5. A lot of emphasis is given to nutritional needs and a menu of vegetarian dishes is prepared accordingly. Tea/coffee will be served throughout.
    • Porter/mule charges for carrying camping equipment & rations
    • Forest entry charges, permits & camping fee (if any)
    • First aid kit (our guides are certified in handling first aid situations)
