    “Nag Tibba” is a trekkers delight.

    Though its a relatively unknown trail near Mussoorie, it can easily be considered one of the best weekend treks that you can do out of Delhi.For those who want to walk in the forests, climb up to 10,000 feet, see snow clad mountains and camp under starry night skies the Nag Tibba trek is just perfect.

    “Nag Tibba” presents stunning views of Bandar poonch peak, the Gangotri group of peaks, Kedarnath peak in the north, Doon valley and the snow peaks of Chanabang.

    Also known as Serpent’s Peak, it is the highest peak (9915 ft)

    “Nag Tibba”range of the Garhwal Himalayas and is said to be the abode of “Nag Devta”.

    “Nag Tibba” trek takes you through dense mountainous forests rich in flora and fauna.

    The advantage of this trek is that you can reach the base of the Nagtibba range by jeep. This makes it possible to do it as a weekend trek.

    DAY 01:

    Drive from Delhi to Pantwari, Dehradun – Pantwari (1100 m)- Drive/7 hrs & trek to Nagtibba base (2600 m) – trek/4-5 hrs
    We shall assemble at a designated place in Delhi and will board a vehicle (arranged by us) and be driven up to Pantwari village via Mussorrie, starting point of the trek. From Pantwari we will start our trek for Nagtibba base. The trail today is reasonably steep and will take us about 4 to 5 hrs to cover it, moving at a leisurely pace. We will make a pit stop en route for lunch. Early evening we will arrive at the campsite. Post arrival we will set up a camp for the night. After a refreshing cup of tea/coffee we will explore the beautiful surroundings. In the night we will enjoy a sumptuous meal around a bonfire, under the star spangled sky. Overnight in tents

    DAY 02:

    Nagtibba base (2600 m) – Nagtibba top (3050 m) – Jungle campsite (2500 m) – trek/3-4 hrs
    Wake up to the chirping of birds and enjoy a hot cuppa tea/coffee. After an early breakfast we will hike for about 2 kms to reach the Nagtibba top (3050 mts). From here we will enjoy the majestic views of the snow clad mountain ranges of Garhwal and Himachal. You will get to see the famous Swargarohini, Bandarpoonch, Neelkanth, Black peak and many more peaks from here. We will have picnic lunch here and spend the whole afternoon relaxing. After a brief siesta we will hike for about 2-3 kms to reach today’s campsite. In the evening we will collect dry wood and get a small bonfire going. Enjoy your freshly prepared dinner and crash into your sleeping bags. overnight in tents

    DAY 03:

    Jungle campsite (2500 m) trek to Teva gaon (1400 m) drive to Dehradun trek /5 hrs & drive /7 – 8 hrs hrs
    After breakfast pack up the camp and start walking down towards Teva gaon (village). Today’s hike is of 10 – 12 kms but totally downhill. Views are totally in contrast with those of the previous day. We will stop en route for lunch. Return trek will take us about 5 hrs. We will walk through thick jungles to reach scenically located Teva gaon. Here one can take a refreshing dip in the river flowing by. After reaching Teva, we board the vehicle awaitibg us and drive back to Delhi.

    A.  Moderately challenging. It would help if you follow some kind of fitness schedule
